The Severn Project at Upton upon Severn

The recently water-logged town of Upton upon Severn played host for the Severn Project on the 10th and 11th August.

People gathered in the streets on Friday and Saturday to see the arrival of the River Inspectors, to talk with the Severn Bores Society and to run pell mell through the streets chasing the Sturgeon Hunter as he tried to prise the fish away from our heroes!

Owners of the shops and pubs in the town found themselves giving refuge to the Sturgeon and the quayside was animated with music from Rick Wilson.

Finally snatching the fish from the jaws of disaster, the River Inspectors departed for Bewdley where they will arrive on the 17th August.
