Ironbridge 22 & 23 September Gallery

The Severn Project at Ironbridge

The Severn Project joined the World Heritage Festival at Ironbridge Gorge for the 22nd and 23rd September. On Saturday the River Inspectors rescued the Sturgeon from the Severn, but with the Stuergon Hunter in hot pursuit, they soon found themselves running through the gorge attempting to keep her from his evil clutches. In a spectacular and daring finale, the sturgeon was finally lowered from the Iron Bridge into the River to complete her journey.

On Sunday, we celebrated the sturgeon's release with a picnic in Dale End Park featuring Historical Characters from the Severn's history and arts workshops with children from the community. Sturgeon Moon 2007 ended with the skillful and delightful performance of the Red Coracle Display Team.

Thank you, Ironbridge!
